Never Mind the Bullocks is one of the later publications in a long run of books by Dr Karl Kruszelnicki. This one's cover is a nice parody of the Sex Pistols album cover Never Mind the Bollocks. Overall like with his other most recent books, it's not as interesting as the earlier books. It does seem Dr Karl is stretched for ideas to fill the pages before the cut off of his recent books, he even acknowledges how boring some of these myths are becoming with advising readers they may well want to ignore this section and skip to page 100 when talking about how to measure the distance to the moon with a coin, a lunar eclipse and a clock.

There are a few fun facts inside though such as that if all men who are bald had been castrated before they hit puberty they'd still have all their hair. Other myths that are interesting but you've probably already read or seen tackled before include the idiots who tell you not to use your mobile phone while filling up with petrol or you'll or your car will catch on fire, Dr Karl even acknowledges a Mythbusters episode that already proved this myth false. Another good mobile phone myth exposed as fraudulent is that your battery will lose recharge time if you recharge it all the time instead of just before it runs out. The myth that all red hair, blond hair or blue eyes will be extinct due to them being recessive genes in 200 years. Vegan's ridiculous claims that humans weren't meant to eat meat, that meat rots in your guts and that to feed the most amount of people with the earth's resources we shouldn't eat any meat is all proven wrong (in fact we actually should be eating cockroaches). Was Greenland once lots of nice soil and grass and the fact that it is now mostly ice evidence that the world changes without man's pollutant impact on climate change? Is drinking Gatorade, Powerade and other sports drinks actually beneficial to you while doing exercise all should you just drink plain, free water? The myth that Christopher Columbus proved the world was round to a planet who thought it was flat is also debunked along with many others.

As well as giving an explanation of why these myths aren't true he also tells with most the origins of the myths.
